Mediapro has been selected as a host broadcaster to produce and distribute the coming Copa Libertadores Final TV broadcast, which will be held this Saturday, November 23rd at the Estadio Monumental, in Lima, Peru. The final will be disputed between Flamengo (Brazil) and River Plate (Argentina).
33 cameras will be used for the event’s coverage, including special equipment such as three Super Slow Motion and an Ultra Slow Motion cameras, a Skycam, two Steadycams, two Jimmy Jibs and an Omni-flex camera mounted on a helicopter, to track the buses that move players to the stadium, and panoramic views of the venue. The realization will be in charge of Oscar Lago Domínguez, director of the last UEFA Champions League 2019 Final, played in Madrid.
This joint production development, to be made between Mediapro Argentina, Chile, Peru, Spain and Portugal, will reach more than 20 countries on the five continents through the different Right Holders that will get the event’s TV coverage produced. The Mediapro Group is also responsible for the distribution of the different TV broadcasts through a production HUB in Buenos Aires. The group also produces TV coverages of matches from several leagues in Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Italy, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Turkey, Qatar, Gabon, Angola, Abu Dhabi and Mozambique, and competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, CAF, AFC Cup or Asian Cup.
Mediapro also provides the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) on the most relevant Finals of Conmebol competitions. In July, the company offered the VAR technology in competitions played in Greece, Mexico, Portugal, Chile, Paraguay, Morocco, Colombia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
