The Colombian channel RCN announced that it will premiere in April the first season of ‘Luis Miguel, la serie’, the successful biographical series of the Mexican musician. With its arrival at RCN, the production adds a new FTA TV screen in the region, after its broadcasts in the US Hispanic, Chile, Mexico and Peru.
Produced by Gato Grande Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Studios, the fiction focuses on the personal and artistic history of Mexican musician Luis Miguel, from his birth to his consolidation as referent of music in Spanish. The production also shows several key situations in the singer’s life, such as the disappearance of his mother, the difficult relationship he had with his father, his dizzying rise to fame and various of his love relationships.
Apart from RCN in Colombia, the series has also been broadcast in the US with Telemundo; in Mexico through Las Estrellas; in Chile through Canal 13 and in Peru on the America TV screen. In addition, it is also available on Netflix, for Spain and Latin America. On the other hand, ‘Luis Miguel, la serie’ was renewed for a second season on the OTT, which began its filming process last January and will be premiered this year.
