Liga MX confirms FIFA 20 e-League with players from the competition broadcasted by TUDN

TUDN and Liga BBVA MX announced the BBVA e-Liga MX, an EA Sports FIFA 20 competition to be played on Playstation 4 and will include players from the clubs that make up Liga MX. Matches will be broadcast on TUDN, and the TUDN application.

The competition will take place on 17 fixture dates, on a schedule that replicates the Liga MX Clausura Tournament, scheduled for this year. The top eight teams will be classified  to the next step, which is a direct elimination format. Liga MX clubs are represented by three players from each sports institution, who will compete in the tournament. The BBVA MX e-League will begin this Friday, April 10th, and two fixture dates will be played each week. The first will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while the second one will be developed these coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The third fixture date of the competition will be held next Friday, and on Thursdays there will be no activity in the tournament. Matches will last 12 minutes (they will take place in two blocks of six minutes each), with just over two minutes between them.

As reported on the e-Liga MX official website, in each match both gamers will have interaction. Each match will have a sportscaster, and will last one hour, taking all the pre and post coverage into account. At the end of it, there will be statistics of the players behind the console. Up to four games per day may be played. For the champion team, there will be a special badge that accredits it as the winner of the e-Liga MX. In addition, winners in individual categories will also be recognized.

‘We are excited to work together with our partners in Liga MX to offer this contest to our fans at this unprecedented moment’, said Juan Carlos Rodiguez, Sports President at Univisión. ‘Our aim for this tournament is to serve as an escape to keep  our community joined in a whole new way around football. We hope that our fans will enjoy the broadcast and the opportunity to see their favorite players face each other like never before’, he added.
