According to what was reported on Paraguayan newspaper ‘Ultima Hora’’s website, Ernesto Caceres, LG’s Commercial Manager, told the previous mentioned media that all the company’s models are prepared for the standard that Paraguay will adopt when implementing the analog blackout.
‘I can express myself only for the brand we represent. I have no information available about others’, said the executive, and indicated that the company is fulfilling regulations imposed by the Paraguayan Telecommunications Commision (Conatel). ‘We sent samples of our equipment to be certified by the entity’, he added.
Analog blackout’s implementation in Paraguay is scheduled for December 31st, 2020, and digital TV standard adapted by the country is the Japanese-Brazilian model, ISDB-T/SBTVD, as established by Decree No. 4,483 (June 1st, 2010).
