LG Electronics integrates DirecTV Go to more of their TVs in Latin America

LG Electronics integrated the DirecTV Go app, DirecTV’s streaming service, to all its Latin American devices that were produced in 2017 and have the WebOS 3.5 operating system. From now on, TV users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay will be able to enjoy the VOD catalogue with national and international content and live broadcasts channels.

Previously, the platform was already available in the brand’s Smart TV models from the 2018 to 2021 editions. But now, the alliance between the two allowed a new number of users to access the service without having to make another investment in a more modern device.

According to LG Electronics, the app has the same original design and interface, but had to undergo some modifications to adapt it to the older models. To access it, users must download it from the LG Electronics Content Store and will have it available on all video and streaming devices. Additionally, to promote the service, DirecTV Go offers a 7-day free trial.
