HBO Latin America has launched a new version of HBO GO streaming service in Argentina and Uruguay. The updated version includes access to the live linear TV channel in a first step to start offering its “a la carte” OTT service with a monthly subscription.
This same update has already been launched in Mexico and Colombia, countries where HBO is offering HBO GO as an OTT SVOD service for broadband users, in partnership with the operators Dish Mexico and Tigo Une in Colombia.
The new version is available from 8 September and offers a completely revamped interface that provides users faster, simple and dynamic access to content, HBO said in a statement. It also includes streaming access to the linear channel and features a multi-language menu (Spanish, English or Portuguese) to select the audio, and subtitles.
HBO GO has a catalog with more than 2,500 titles. It is currently available as TV Everywhere service, at no additional cost, to subscribers of Premium packs HBO / MAX in pay TV operators, including Cablevision and DirecTV (in both Argentina and Uruguay), Telecentro and Express of Argentina and Montecable , Nuevo Siglo and TCC in Uruguay, among others.
