The Brazilian programmer Globosat and its sports channel SporTV have announced an agreement with Samsung to offer 360-degree videos of Rio 2016 Olympic Games, through SporTV VR, in selected Galaxy smartphones compatible with Samsung Gear VR.
In a statement, Globosat reported that the application will offer up to 100 hours of programming in virtual reality, including the opening and the closing ceremonies, as well as basketball, gymnastics, beach volleyball, gymnastics, fencing, ornamental jump and athletics . There will also be video packs with highlights of these sports.
