According to information from the satellite EDS website, the Globosat 4K programming package trial version is available on the StarOne D1 (84.0° W) satellite, in C band.

As reported by EDS, the programming package includes premium pay TV networks, such as Telecine Premium HD; Telecine Action HD; Telecine Touch HD; Telecine Pipoca HD; and others.

In Brazil only Claro (Net) and Oi are operating in 4K resolution. One of the main problems in developing this broadcast modality is the lack of general content. The arrival of Globosat, one of the main Brazilian programmers, to StarOne D1, is an initial element in order to expand this broadcast mode.
