Globo’s productions arrive at Uruguay, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama

Globo TV International titles ‘Huerfanos de su Tierra’, ‘Avenida Brasil’, ‘Tiempo de Amar’ and ‘Orgullo y Pasión’,  arrived at Teledoce, Imagen TV, Teletica and TVN, in Uruguay, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama, respectively.

The awarded soap opera ‘Huerfanos de su Tierra’ was launched by the Uruguayan FTA TV channel Teledoce in March, replacing ‘ Nuevo Sol’, another Globo production. Its plot focuses on refugees as the background for an exciting story, having as ingredients empathy, cultural diversity and resilience in the name of love. The production won the Rose d’Or Awards in the Telenovelas category in 2019 and was launched in the international market at the beginning of this year, during the 2020 NATPE.

Teledoce also recently launched ‘¡Que vida buena!’, The production is based on the lives of people who live in farms in the countryside of São Paulo during the 1940s. It also tells the story of Candinho, a simple guy who is searching for his origins and ends up being reunited with his greatest love.

In Mexico, Imagen Television has two Brazilian premieres scheduled: apart from ‘Huerfanos de su Tierra’, on April 27th, the channel will also broadcast the hit ‘Avenida Brasil’, starting on May 4th. It  has beaten Globo’s licensing record, being broadcast to almost 150 countries and dubbed in 19 languages.

In Costa Rica, Teletica will broadcast ‘Tiempo de amar’, which is developed during the 1920s and tells the story of a love that is interrupted by destiny and great obstacles that will lead to a meeting throughout a journey signed by the strength of love.

Another drama, ‘Orgullo y Pasion’, arrives at the Panamanian chanel TVN,  Its plot takes place in 1910, at the Coffee Valley, and tells the story of  Elisabeta, a young libertarian who is full of dreams and has a naturally daring personality. Because of that, she faces social and behaviour conflicts.
