Brazilian Globo Group has recently announced the launch of a new premium pack for Globoplay subscribers, the company’s SVOD OTT. According to the information reported on various specialized websites in the country, the new offer is called ‘Globoplay+ Canais ao Vivo+Telecine”, and allows the platform’s subscribers to access Globoplay’s content, together with Grupo Globo channels and Telecine titles.
With the new pack, now available, Globoplay subscribers will be able to access a catalog that features around two thousand films and unreleased titles in Brazil through the Première Telecine label, as well as 19 live TV channels of the group, series and soap operas, as well as they will also have the possibility of accessing Big Brother Brazil content 24 hours a day. The channels included in the new package are Multishow, GloboNews, Sportv 1, Sportv 2, Sportv 3, GNT, Viva, Gloob, Gloobinho, Off, Bis, Mais Na Tela, Megapix, Universal TV, Studio Univeral, SYFY, Canal Brasil, Futura, TV Globo and Telecine On Demand.
Those who wish to hire the full pack must pay a R$ 74.90 (USD 13) monthly subscription. A second option is to subscribe to the ‘Globoplay e Telecine’ package, which allows access to more than two thousand movies and TV Globo, Futura and Big Brother Brazil’s PPV channels, for R$ 49.90 (USD 9) per month . In addition, the ‘Globoplay e Telecine’ pack supports up to four profiles, while ‘Globoplay+Canais ao Vivo+Telecine increases that number to four.
Before the launch of this new package, the Globo Group launched a first offer with pay TV channels in September 2020. Later, at the end of February, the SVOD OTT added a new package, called ‘Globoplay+Canais ao Vivo+ Premiere’, which includes a series of pay TV channels that broadcast various football leagues that take place in Brazil, under the PPV model.
