Brazilian Globo Group has recently announced that its SVOD OTT Globoplay, which will be launched in Europe this year, has enabled a new content package for its subscribers, which includes the Group’s TV channels and access to Premiere, a series of Pay TV channels that broadcast various football leagues that take place in the country, under the PPV mode. The new offer, called ‘Globoplay + Canais ao Vivo + Premiere’, is available for a R $ 9.90 (USD 2) monthly subscription, or for an annual subscription valued at R$ 94.90 (USD 17).
The new content package brings together the largest offer of live football matches from the main Brazilian football leagues, in addition to the Off channel; news and live events from the three Sportv channels; and the Globoplay catalog, with series, films, journalistic content, humor and documentaries. In addition, the offer includes several Globo Group’s TV channels, such as TV Globo, Multishow, GloboNews, GNT, Viva, Gloob, Globinho, Bis, Mais Na Tela, Megapix, Universal TV, Studio Universal, SYFY, Canal Brasil and Futura. In the cases of Universal TV, Studio Universal and Syfy, these are channels that Globosat, Globo’s pay TV business, does not produce, but only distributes them in Brazil.
‘The new Globoplay + Canais ao Vivo + Premiere package is an option for those who are sports fans and for those looking for a complete content experience. The offer allows to follow various football teams in Brazil and access the best content of national and worldwide sports, with Premiere and SporTV channels, in addition to having the Globoplay full content portfolio and other Globo Channels available’, reported Eduardo Gabbay, Director at Globo’s Sports Channels.
