As recently reported by various Brazilian websites, from last October 1st, Globo started offering ‘Globoplay+, canais ao vivo’, a new package with linear pay TV channels, which are broadcasted via OTT through Globoplay. The initiative had already been announced previously, and since this month it is available to any consumer, after a version launched at the end of August, only available for the Brazilian OTT subscribers.
The new package includes Globo TV channels like Multishow; GloboNews; Sportv; Sportv 2; Sportv 3; GNT; Live; Gloob; Globinho; OFF; Bis; Mais Na Tela; Megapix; Universal TV; Studio Universal; Syfy and Canal Brasil. ‘Globoplay + canais ao vivo’ is available for a R$ 49.90 (USD 9) monthly subscription, or in 12 fees, valued at R $ 42.90 (USD 8) each.
Globoplay + fulfills a long-standing audience’s desire to bring this content together in one place. The new offer comes at a time when streaming continues to grow worldwide and, in this context, Globoplay adds to this growth and differentiates itself in the Brazilian market, precisely because of its ability to offer more and more products of a different nature, in a diversified portfolio, meeting a demand for more and more complete offers’, said Erick Brêtas, Director of Digital Products and Services at Globo.
