Fanatiz takes Central American football leagues to the US, Canada and Puerto Rico with CentroAmerica TV

The Fanatiz platform, which focuses its offer on sports content, has announced this Wednesday, February 24th, an agreement to add  CentroAmerica TV’s TV channel offer to its catalog, and, this way, make available Central American football leagues -such as those in El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica- in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. The initiative takes place after the platform has also added Tigo Sports, Guatemala’s main sports channel, as part of its content portfolio, in August last year.

“At Fanatiz, we strive to provide our subscribers with the best in sports content. With the addition of CentroAmérica TV to our list of partners, we continue to improve the streaming experience for football fans in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada’, reported Matias Rivera, CEO & Founder at Fanatiz. ‘We are delighted to continue to expand our content portfolio, and by adding the leading channel for Central American football fans living in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada, we continue to provide our customers with more of what they want, and now we are the service with the largest amount of Central American football content in that region’, he added.

Alan J. Sokol. President and CEO at Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., the channel’s parent company, has also expressed himself on the partnership with Fanatiz: ‘Football is a vital unifier and source of connection for the Hispanic / Latin community. This new partnership provides us with the unique opportunity to further democratize access to sports, giving Central American football fans yet another option to enjoy football matches on their favourite devices, wherever they are in North America. We are delighted with this new partnership, which further amplifies our offering and allows us to reach new markets populated by the communities we serve’, he reported.

As reported by Fanatiz, Central Americans living in Puerto Rico and the US can access matches played by their favorite players from their countries  in European leagues, such as Keylor Navas (Costa Rica) playing for PSG; Bryan Rochez (Honduras) for Clube Desportivo  Nacional (Portugal); and Oscar Duarte (Costa Rica) and Anthony Lozano (Honduras), for LaLiga of Spain.

The partnership also expands Fanatiz’s and CentroAméricaTV’s footprint in Canada, marking the first time both platform and network are available for Canada-based Central Americans. ‘Football’s popularity is at an all-time high and we are thrilled to finally be able to bring more content to our fans in Canada’, said Jose Romero, CMO at Fanatiz. ‘In addition to the top-flight football programming available on Fanatiz, we are always listening to our subscriber’s wants and needs. As a way of answering to a large number of Hispanic football fans living in Canada seeking access to their favorite Central American football teams, we have decided to expand our efforts and bring our fans one step closer to catching their favorite teams when and how they want’, he added.
