TV Azteca Internacional announced this week it has ran an agreement with Facebook Watch, through which it will add various of its productions to the social network OTT platform. As detailed, the content involved in the agreement will be available on Facebook Watch both for Latin America and for other countries.
‘We are very proud to have opened this new era with Facebook, which has chosen TV Azteca to rewrite the history of distribution agreements together. Undoubtedly, we are taking the steps needed to be taken to go where we know we should go’, reported Patricia Jasin, VP at TV Azteca Internacional.
Likewise, Gerardo Velez, Spanish Speaking Markets Lead, Entertainment Partnerships at Facebook, has also expressed himself on the new partnership agreement and said that Facebook is ‘a place where people look for connection and community’. This way, the executive said that from the company they are ‘excited that people can watch, share and comment on TV Azteca programs and movies through Facebook Watch’.
Titles included in the agreement are the series ‘Pobre diabla’ (195×60); ‘La fuerza del destino’ (140×60); ‘A cada quien su santo’ (200×60); ‘Lo que la gente cuenta’ (23×60); and a selection of films from the golden age of Mexican cinema, available in black and white, in colours and restored in HD.
