ESPN+ OTT service to launch April 12 in the U.S

ESPN announced that it will launch its new direct-to-consumer OTT service, ESPN+, on April 12 in the United States, with a subscription price of USD4.99 per month. It will include live sports, original content and a library of on-demand programming.
The service’s live sports lineup includes games of MLB, NHL, MLS Games, top rank boxing, Tennis, Golf and thousands of College Sports Events, among others. ESPN+ will be an integrated part of a completely redesigned and reimagined ESPN App that will be the premier all-in-one digital sports platform.
ESPN+ is the first direct-to-consumer service offering from Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International unit. A Disney-branded OTT service, offering Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies along with exclusive content, will launch in late 2019. Both streaming services are powered by Bamtech, a company owned by Disney.
