ESPN brings Fortite’s World Cup to Latin America

On July 26th, 27th and 28th, the Fortnite World Cup, video game developed by Epic Games, will take place in New York City. The event will be broadcast on ESPN+ and ESPN Play for the first time in Latin America, with more than 14 hours of live coverage , according to what ESPN officially reported.

The Fortinte World Cup will feature 100 individual players, 100 in duo and 34 in Creative mode. The competition has a prize valued at USD 30 million, of which USD 3 million will be for the winner of the individual category, and will be developed in three modalities: Creative, which will participate on Friday, Duets, on Saturday, and Individual, on Sunday.

The competition will be broadcast on its three days on ESPN+ and the OTT ESPN Play for Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

On October 2nd, Dataxis will organize a new edition of the Sportv Series Latin America event, conference in which issues like how new technologies are changing the sports business in Latin America will be debated. The event will have an exclusive panel, focused on analyzing the esports boom in the region.
