El Tiempo Casa Editorial enters the OTT market with El Tiempo Play

Colombian media conglomerate El Tiempo Casa Editorial, owner of the so-called newspaper, announced days ago the launch of El Tiempo Play, its new OTT platform, which it defined as ‘a digital space that launches in the country to provide audiences and  advertisers new consumption ways through audio and video formats’.

As reported by the newspaper on November 6th, El Tiempo Play’s content catalog features  more than 200 movie titles; 10 podcast formats; 10 series and 10 documentaries ‘designed for all audiences’. Likewise, El Tiempo Play’s content menu is made up of a selection of audiovisual archives of the latest news from Colombia and the world; live broadcasts of the most relevant events in the country; documentaries created by El Tiempo Casa Cultural and based on the most relevant events in history and significant events for Colombia; series; podcasts; and movies in Spanish, available for rent.

Access to El Tiempo Play can be done without paying a subscription. One option is to access directly from the platform’s web version, or from the El Tiempo website. Access is available on both computers and mobile devices.

Likewise, from El Tiempo they reported that the next releases that will be part of the OTT catalog will include series, magazines, short films, a section for gamers, a musical catalog and the integration of live channels, with the aim of strengthening its portfolio and turn it into an option to inform and entertain those who access.
