Disney+ to be launched next November 12th and will cost USD 7 monthly

The Walt Disney Company officially announced that its OTT Disney + will be launched next November 12th in the US. The subscription will cost USD 7 monthly and, according to the company, ‘after the debut in the US, Disney + will expand itself globally in a fast way, with plans to be in all the world’s major regions in the next two years’.

New OTT’s offer will stand out contents from  Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and the National Geographic channel, acquired after Disney-Fox merger, recently done. The Simpon’s 30 seasons will also be available. It is also estimated that the OTT will have 500 feature films and more than 7,500  TV series episodes. It will be accessed on connected TVs and mobile devices. During its first year, the platform will launch more than 25 series and 10 original, documentary and special films ‘by some of the most prolific and creative authors in history’.

According to previous information, Disney will continue producing original contents in different parts of the world, including Latin America, in co-production with regional companies. The content may be licensed to other platforms.
