Disney+ to be available on Samsung smart TVs in seven Latin American countries

As officially reported by Samsung this Tuesday, November 3rd, starting on this month the 17th, date on which Disney+ will be officially launched in Latin America, the SVOD OTT will be available on Samsung smart TVs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico , Panama and Peru. As reported by Diego Lerner, President at The Walt Disney Company Latin America, the platform will be the exclusive home for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic titles.

At Samsung, we have a clear aim of providing comprehensive entertainment options for consumers, and promoting quality times for the whole family; and all through the latest technologies added into our TVs and sound bars, for a complete immersive experience. Now, consumers will be able to have a new Disney + content portfolio and an immersive experience at any time’, said Celso Barros Latam Product Manager at Samsung.

As reported from Samsung, its partnership with Disney+ will allow users to have an immersive experience on the platform, ‘thanks to the premium ultra-high definition image and sound quality in smart TV models from 2016 to 2020′, which include the UHD, Crystal UHD, The Frame, QLED 4K and QLED 8K models. The Disney+ app will be available for download on the Samsung App Store. This way, as of next November 17th, Disney+ will be part of the content that Samsung makes available on its smart TVs, where it already offers access to Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube. Disney has also announced this week an exclusive Disney+ pre-sale offer in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay, available until November 16th through the official Disney+ website.
