Disney+ to be available as a Hulu add on

During his opening remarks to the Television Critics Association, Hulu’s SVP of Originals, Craig Erwich, said that the OTT Disney+, whose launch date is scheduled for November in the US, will soon be included as an add on in the platform, together with others as HBO and CBS All Access, already available.

Essentially, what that means is that those who already subscribe to Hulu can add another OTT onto their monthly bill, and that content will then be made available to them via Hulu, rather than have another standalone subscription.

Recently, Disney announced an agreement with Comcast to acquire full control of Hulu. Disney+ will be launched this year together with other OTTs expected by 2020, such as HBO Max (WarnerMedia), the already launched AppleTV+, Pluto TV (Viacom) -which has already launched its Spanish version in the US-, NBC Universal, and others.
