Dish and Univision announced a new agreement that will allow Univision Communications channels reestablishment for Dish and DishLatino’s customers. The network’s restoration ends an almost nine months dispute, in which last June 30th, 2018 the US network stopped broadcasting its Univision, UniMás and Galavisión channels to Dish’s customers, in addition to blocking access to all Sling contents.
‘We want to thank our Dish customers for their patience as we work to reach a fair agreement to all parties, especially our clients’, said Dish’s president and CEO, Erik Carlosn, and added that ‘for more than 20 For years, Dish has led the industry to serve Hispanic community in the US, and today’s announcement reflects our commitment to deliver quality content at the right value’.
Univision has also made a pronouncement on the agreement. Vince Sadusky, executive director of the company, said they are ‘pleased for celebrating this partnership with Dish, which recognizes the high tuning rates value of our channels and broadcasters. In addition, he expressed his purpose to ‘provide Dish and DishLatino’s customers with the news, sports and entertainment they want’.
The new agreement implementation makes sure Univision, UniMas, Univision Sports Network, Galavisión, Tlnovellas and FOROtv return to Dish and DishLatino .
