DirecTV to take FIFA U-20 World Cup from Poland to Latin America

FIFA U-20 World Cup is scheduled to begin this Thursday, May 23rd, and will be based on Poland this year. The football competition will be broadcast on DirecTV Sports and several National Teams will take part of it, such as the ones from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, Panama and Uruguay.

The competition calendar indicates that the U20 World Cup’s group stage will take place between May 23rd and 31st. Round of 16s will be developed between June 2nd and 4th, to later play the quarterfinals, that month’s 7th and 8th. The semi-finals will take place on June 11th, while the match that will define the third place of the competition will be three days later. The final match will take place next June 15th.

All matches from the competition will be broadcast on DirecTVPlay.com, DirecTVSports.com and DirecTV Sports App. The channel will develop all the content on the DirecTV Sport’s screen, with HD coverage. The TV network is located on channel 610 (SD) and 1610 (HD) of DirecTV. The event will be available in Argentina, the Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

 

Ernesto Carreño, DirecTV Colombia’s Head of Marketing, will be one of the speakers taking part of the Nextv Series Colombia event, organized by Dataxis. It will be developed next June 27th at the JW Marriott Hotel, in Bogota.
