DirecTV GO makes its catalog available in more Latin American countries

DirecTV GO, OTT platform that combines linear, live and on demand programming, series, documentaries, movies, sports and premium content, is now available in Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay. From last August 8th, anyone wishing to subscribe to the platform can do so through a monthly plan at The OTT is also available in Chile and Colombia, where it was launched in November 2018.

Access to DirecTV GO can be done from any compatible digital device with internet connection such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers, smart TVs, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and Android TV. For on demand content, the platform enables the possibility of pausing and continue watching them later on the same or another device. The OTT also makes it possible to watch contents on two devices at the same time with the same account, although some of them may be limited to be watched on a single device. In addition, with DirecTV GO, people who hire it so not need to have a traditional pay TV subscription available, a STB, a satellite dish. a cable connection or an annual agreement to enjoy their favourite programming.

According to official information provided by DirecTV, the OTT was launched in November 2018 in Chile and Colombia through a monthly subscription for anyone interested in accessing the platform. In June 2019, DirecTV GO extended its reach only to DirecTV’s satellite TV service subscribers in Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay, at no additional cost. DirecTV is available for free for DirecTV subscribers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay thanks to an agreement between Vrio and DirecTV satellite TV service providers. From August 8th, the platform can be accessed through a monthly subscription plan.
