Dias de Gallos, HBO Max’s new original series, wraps up shooting before the platform launches in Latin America

WarnerMedia Latin America has officially announced this last Thursday, April 8th, that it has finished shooting ‘Dias de Gallos’, one of the two Max Originals that will be released exclusively on HBO Max, once the platform is officially launched in Latin America. The news came days after the company reported that Bunker’, Max Original set in Mexico, has also finished its recordings. Up to now, WarnerMedia Latin America has not confirmed the launch date of the platform in the region, although it is known that it will take place in June

‘Días de Gallos’ is set in Argentina, and was produced together with Zeppelin Studios Latin America. As officially reported by WarnerMedia Latin America, its plot focuses on a youth musical drama, where three young people want to make a name for themselves in the competitive world of freestyle rap battles. The three of them will find themselves in the middle of a dangerous combination of friendship, love and sex, as they face some tough competitors and try to learn from their mistakes. The new Max Original will run for 10 episodes of 45 minutes each.

In addition to the future releases of ‘Bunker’ and ‘Dias de Gallos’ exclusively on HBO Max, WarnerMedia has reported days ago that the SVOD OTT will be available from its launch date for DirecTV Latin America (AT&T) subscribers, as well as in Brazil, through Sky Brasil (AT&T) and Oi (Grupo Oi)’s ones. The launch of HBO Max in Latin America will be the first in which the SVOD OTT will be available outside the US, where it was launched at the end of May last year.
