DAZN moves Corinthians from Globo to Rede TV

Sports OTT DAZN gave Rede TV Corinthians broadcasting rights in the South American Cup in FTA for free, after more than 20 years in which Globo broadcasted them.  Rede TV will broadcast one match of each South American Cup round, in which Corinthians will make its debut this Thursday.

‘This is an important and strategic partnership that will mean millions of football fans will be able to see some their favourite teams and players for free’, said Johnny Devitt, DAZN’s chief marketing officer. And pointed that partnership also ‘will build the brand profile of DAZN in households across the nation as the destination to watch all of the action’.

Brazil will be the first market to launch DAZN in Latin America. The offer will include all South American Cup matches  for four seasons, as well as Serie A TIM (Italy) and Ligue 1 (France). The OTT will have the MultiView function available in Brazil, which will allow subscribers to watch up to four events on the same screen simultaneously. It is currently available in Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Italy and the United States.
