Dataxis to debate on the new pay TV era through a new virtual panel

Going on with the development of virtual panels aimed at debating different topics related to the industry, Dataxis will hold this coming Wednesday, October 27th at 1:00 PM (ART) a new panel, entitled ‘Content is King, UX is the Queen’. The event will be sponsored by Zappware and will be focused on debating topics related to the integration of OTT platforms, content discovery on pay TV, and others. With the aim of debating on this issue, Dataxis gathered Cristian Santana, Head of Business Americas at Zappware; and Roman Guasch, Senior Director, Business Development at WarnerMedia, who will star at the virtual panel. 

Pay TV is in an era of profound changes and the user interface (UI) is the face of that transformation. The new OTT, IPTV, Android TV and cable and DTH hybrid platforms are opening the door to new consumer habits in the Internet age, where user experience, video on demand, personalization and recommendations reign. Pay TV operators are moving from channel aggregators to OTT aggregators and D2C services. Quality content has multiplied, which is still king, and that is why it is becoming increasingly important that the user can easily find their relevant content and consume it in the way they choose on the device they want.

This way, some of the main topics to be debated will focus on personalization and customer retention; D2C aggregation, TV channel strategies and brands in the UI; integration of OTT platforms and content discovery in pay TV; and add-on and TVOD recommendation and upselling systems.
