Dataxis to debate on how to integrate eSports into the pay TV business

On Thursday, August 20th at 1:00 PM (ART), Dataxis will held a new virtual panel, entitled ‘How to integrate E-Sports, kings of social distancing, into pay TV business’. The panel will feature differents executives from the industry, such as  Leo De Biase, Chief Relationship Officer at Bad Boy Leeroy; Damian Szafirsztein, Team Owner at Infinity Esports Latam; Mário Sousa, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mediapro US; and Jonathan Cisterna, General Director at Temporada de Juegos. Social distance has caused a crisis in traditional sports, while eSports have gained more and more audience during the pandemic, following the trend of recent years. Some sports TV networks have added eSports into their linear programming; other media groups have created specific channels; and operators are also integrating eSports OTTs into their offering.

During the virtual panel, experts will debate and focus on different topics, such as what was the eSports consumer behaviour during the lockdowns; if it is possible for eSports to take advantage of traditional sports new events limitations; what is the best media deployment for eSports (linear channel or OTT); the integration of eSports live streaming in pay TV services, and other topics.
