The Colombian FTA TV channel RCN will broadcast some of the most important cycling events that take place in the country during the next four years, after running a commercial agreement with the Colombian Cycling Federation.
‘This agreement is so important, because it aims to give greater importance to the main Colombian cycling competitions. By the way that we spread the great races and growth that our cyclists have, we are promoting cycling at all levels’, said Jorge Mauricio Vargas, President of the Colombian Cycling Federation.
Jose Antonio De Brigard, President of RCN Televisión, also expressed himself on the agreement and said: ‘We are going to broadcast this TV network not only to Colombia but also to international markets. This will give greater chances that all these cyclists who are growing in national competitions will being known to the world. In addition, it is a privilege for the channel to produce and broadcast first-line events’.
The first event to be broadcast by RCN will be the Campeonatos Nacionales. Other events that will be broadcast this year will be 70 years of the Vuelta a Colombia, in addition to this competition’s female version, the Clasico RCN and the Vuelta de la Juventud.
