Bolivia’s Telecommunications Cooperative from Santa Cruz, Cotas, launched a new advanced TV service, Go On TV, based on the product of the same name from Comteco, the Cochabamba cooperative with which it partnered for the project. However, the company announced that for now its traditional Pay TV and DTH services will continue in function.
Classified as “Internet TV”, the streaming pay TV service can be viewed throughout the country from smart TVs, computers and mobile devices. In addition, like Comteco, it can be accessed through an STB, which will provide a signal to those televisions that don’t have an Internet connection.
“The new television offer will have more channels and will have innovative functionalities, such as accessing pre recorded content, to be viewed at the time that the consumer desires to” Cotas’ team announced. On the other hand, it was also commented that Go On TV will have advanced functions such as pausing and rewinding the broadcasts of live channels.
