Conatel will enforce cable companies to follow Organic Telecommunications Law

A motion presented by Deputy David Chávez, whose purpose was to make the Honduran National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) make it compulsory for  cable companies to follow TV channels frequencies, as required by Organic Telecommunications Law, was approved.

‘In case of no response after submitting this motion, my initiative would also be to name  a Commission in this power of the State and to convene Conatel commissioners to follow Telecommunications Law’, said Chavez.

Article 85 of the Organic Law on Telecommunications indicates that Conatel establishes at the beginning of each calendar year radio spectrum bands or sub-bands available, which will be subject to the Public Offer procedure, as well as selection criterias.
