COMTECO, a telecommunications cooperative from Cochabamba (Bolivia), launched this year their own OTT, Go On TV. Carlos Ayala Garnica, their Commercial Manager, announced an international pay tv offer through the platform, that will bring their service to those bolivians who live in other countries.
“One of the reasons we didn’t associate the commercial brand to the other traditional ones, is because we want to take Go On TV out from Cochabamba”, he explained on the first day of the Nextv Series South America event.
As detailed by Ayala Garnica, there were evaluated some plans to reach their compatriots localized outside from the region, with an offer of 24 channels at a monthly price of USD 5. “We understand that today the main need is the connectivity and simplicity, but the content is also something very strong: the local newscasts and tv shows that people want to see”, he said.
“There are a lot of bolivians who migrate, and exactly for that is the Go On Tv offer, to bring a cheap product, easy to subscribe, with a good video quality and content that our people would like”, he added, lastly.
