Coachella festival opens three live channels on YouTube and a virtual reality app

Coachella music and arts festival, to be held in the US city of Indio, California, opened three live broadcast channels via the international video platform YouTube for a selection of concerts of its first of two weekends, from April 15th through 17th.

YouTube will include an interactive schedule for users to organize the live band shows through the three channels as well as contents accessible through Video On Demand (VOD) mode. The broadcasts are sponsored by German phone company T-Mobile (Deutsche Telekom) and by OTT Netflix, among others.

On the other hand, the festival will offer access to exclusive virtual reality content through the Coachella VR free mobile app, developed by new US optical fiber triple play operator Vantage (Frontier).
