Claro’s FTTH network in Brazil is available in 68 cities

On its Q4 2019 financial results report, America Móvil reported that Claro Brazil has deployed its FTTH network in 52 new cities in the country, where it already covers a total of 68 cities.

Claro’s investment in the FTTH network began in 2018 in Serra Negra, San Pablo, and advanced to complete the 68 cities in which it is available today, distributed in the states of San Pablo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina.

In July 2019, Claro had reported to have 51 cities covered by its FTTH network. At the beginning, the company planned to advance in those in which Net, the other telecommunications operator that owns America Móvil in Brazil, were not available.
