ViacomCBS Networks Americas has officially announced this last Monday a new partnership through which ViacomCBS’s SVOD OTT Paramount+ premium catalog, will be available for Claro Video (America Movil) subscribers. The new agreement is valid for Mexico, and will take effect as of this coming Wednesday, September 1st.

According to the information that was officially reported by ViacomCBS, Paramoun+ catalog features more than five thousand hours of entertainment and premium content, as well as titles from relevant brands worldwide, such as Showtime, MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Nick. Jr, Smithsonian Channel; and new Paramount+ originals, as well as original and exclusive series and movies. 

‘We are extremely excited that Paramount+’s original productions, including renown Mexican series ‘Se Rentan Cuartos’ and ‘Acapulco Shore’, will now be available for Claro Video subscribers through this partnership, reported Laura Perez, SVP of Content Distribution for Latin America and General Manager for Mexico and North Latin America at ViacomCBS Networks Americas. ‘We value our partners, and we look forward to expanding Paramount+’s  premium entertainment catalog to more users in the region’, she added. This way, the partnership with Claro Video in Mexico takes place after, at the beginning of August, Telecom Argentina and ViacomCBS announced a similar agreement, through which Flow customers can now access the Paramount+ Premium Pack for free for a 12 month period.

In addition, and according to Alberto Islas, General Manager at Claro Video, this partnership ‘further strengthens our catalog’s content offer and reinforces the commercial relationship that exists with our partner ViacomCBS’. 

From ViacomCBS Networks Americas they have also confirmed that, through this agreement, Telmex and Telcel customers will be able to subscribe to the Claro Video platform and include it for free in their Infinitum and MAX 3000 or higher plans. They will be able to pay their Claro video subscription via credit card or iTunes, where they will be able to enjoy a one-month free trial.
