Telecommunications company Claro (America Movil) has officially confirmed last week that it will broadcast the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games live. Broadcast will be made on exclusive channels on YouTube, as well as on the Claro Sports pay TV channel. It will be Claro’s second bet on the Olympic Games, after having broadcast those held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
According to the information officially reported by the company, the YouTube broadcast -through the ‘Marca Claro‘ channel- like that of Claro Sports will be available in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala , Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, and will take place between July 23rd and August 8th.
At first, the event was planned to take place between July 24th and August 9th, 2020, but, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they were put off, keeping the ‘Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games’ name.
Apart from the different disciplines that will take place during the Olympic Games, the broadcasts of Marca Claro and Claro Sports will include the best highlights of the competition, as well as content from the most outstanding athletes in Latin America.
