Nagra (Kudelski Group), a leading independent provider of content protection and multiscreen TV solutions, has officially announced this last Thursday, July 29th that Claro Colombia (America Movil) has selected the Nagra OpenTV video platform to power its new Claro Box TV, originally launched in Brazil in 2020, and now available for Claro Colombia’s clients
The new STB is based on the Android TV (Google) operative system, and enables Claro Colombia’s clients to enjoy multiple features, such as live and video on demand content; start over and catch up titles; cloud DVR and making voice commands through the remote control. It is also possible to access Netflix, whose app is integrated into the Claro Box, and also third-party apps and more than 300 applications from Google Play and Google services available on Android TV from a single device.
