Claro launched its new television service in Puerto Rico that aims to unify the experience of live programming with online streaming services. From now on, customers in the region will be able to purchase the Claro v + platform, which will be available both from a mobile app and for televisions through their own STB.
In addition to offering access to the OTTs the user is subscribed to and up to 200 local and international channels, it also has the function of recording episodes or transmissions and of going back in the grid up to seven days ago, a special detail since most operators only allow the customer to go back until 24 hours before.
As confirmed by the company, the platform works on Android TV and has the Google Home voice search tool, in addition to having the remote control function enabled for connected cell phones. Enrique Ortiz de Montellano, CEO of Claro Puerto Rico, affirmed that to facilitate access to the app for those customers who don’t have a smart TV, with the first subscription to the service the client will receive a STB for free.
