Claro Box TV strengthens its OTT offer with Amazon Prime Video and Nordeste FC

Brazilian pay TV operator Claro (America Movil) has announced that Claro Box TV, its new recently launched streaming box, is strengthening its OTT offer with Amazon Prime Video and Nordeste FC’s apps. Nordeste FC is the Copa do Nordeste’s OTT, Brazilian regional football league that brings together teams from the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe.

Apart from the already mentioned platforms, Claro Box TV’s OTT offer also brings together Netflix, Telecine, Paramount+, Looke, Starzplay, Premiere, Now, Globoplay, one of the last OTTs that were added into the company’s streaming box, and others.  In addition, Globo has also included its channels on Claro’s STB, which were not available at the time of its launch. In addition to the OTTs mentioned, Claro’s streaming box also gathers 50 thousand VOD contents and more than 140 live channels.

According to the information reported on different Brazilian websites, Claro’s clients in Brazil must pay the Prime Video and Nordeste FC’s monthly subscriptions as standalone platforms. In the case of Prime Video, its monthly subscription is valued at R $ 9.90 (USD 2), while the one of Nordeste FC can be paid monthly for R $ 23.90 (USD 4) with limited access to the competition matches; or for R$ 59.90 (USD 10.5) to access all the league’s matches.
