WOM, the Chilean telecommunications company, announced the financial results for the third quarter of 2021, after having revealed the launch of WOM TV, its new streaming pay TV service. According to the released statement, the company’s postpaid customer base grew 16% compared to the same period of the previous year, after having incorporated 488 thousand new subscribers.
On the other hand, the operator obtained around USD 132 thousand in income from services by the end of Q3 2021, which represents an increase of 7.7% compared to the third quarter of 2020. In addition, the adjusted EBITDA also presented an increase of 11.7%. After launching its first pay TV service, which will be streaming and under add-on mode, WOM expects the numbers to continue to rise by the end of the year.
Christopher Laska, CEO of WOM, said about the growth of the company: “This positive result from WOM is fundamentally explained by our strategy always focused on the client and on constant improvement to achieve the best offer, not only having the best prices. but also the network that grows the most”.
