Ánima Estudios and Cartoon Network Latin America announced the winner of their second animation contest, called “Cortos”, which had the participation of 172 projects by artists from 17 Latin American countries.
The project chosen was “Ram, Pam, Dam” by Gino Baldeon, Gustavo Castellanos and Miguel Ángel Vélez, from Ecuador. Anima Studios will produce a first short of the series, which will have the opportunity to have it featured on Cartoon Network Latin America’s platforms. The winners will also receive a cash prize.
This year’s call was for Short Format Series (episodes up to 3 minutes) with contents aligned with Cartoon Network’s focus on humor and comedy and participants must present original and innovative ideas aimed for children 7 to 12.
Both companies said in a press release that a large number of projects were received from countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay, among others. The winner stood out for the best concept, design, history, characters and technique.
