Caracol Televisión’s digital unit, Caracol Next, highlighted the good performance of its new 360° for Facebook and other digital platforms, and announced the launch of new short format videos.
One of these developments this year was the implementation of virtual reality and 360º videos during the Colombian National Soccer Team’s match against Venezuela in the qualifying round for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. Gol Caracol’s team used this technology with videos and photographs on their Facebook page, reaching over 100,000 playbacks.
Moreover, the Colombian company recently launched the new short format videos “The Incorregibles”, “Straight Talk with Flavia”, “Easy” and “Vox Populi Toons, the cartoon about facts, turned cartoons”, and it will launch soon new web series such as “Imported”, “Starter”, “Behind the Scenes” and “The Thirteen”.
The company also highlighted that followers of the Caracol Next brands have logged into the various Facebook Live feeds of Caracol Televisión broadcasts, which began as a digital extension of the various products to provide access to up-to-the-minute information, details, and talent anecdotes from various productions such as “ManiacsChallenge” and “Let’s Talk About Comics”.
