Brazilian TV channel TV Novo Tempo has deployed Ateme’s Kyrion encoder and decoder to power its terrestrial and satellite primary distribution feeds to Brazil and the rest of the region.
Based on the Ateme fifth Generation Stream compression engine, the Kyrion encoder and decoder provide the best baseband video quality at minimum bitrates, the technology company informed through a press release. This solution has been designed for contribution over satellite and IP networks, with added value features such as ultra-fast-boot, ultra-low latency, and ABR output.
“Our Kyrion solution is future-proof, with an HEVC software upgrade option and pay-as-you-grow support”, said Gustavo Dutra, Brazil’s country manager for broadcast at Ateme.
