Uruguayan company Bold MSS, focused on providing solutions for content distribution, has officially announced this Wednesday, April 21st, that it will be providing operators with a new app, which will work on any STB or TV with Android TV operating system. This  will allow operators to distribute their own custom devices based on the Android TV platform.

‘We are very happy and proud to introduce to the market a solution highly requested by users and operators. We managed to integrate our app with the operator interface, fully customizable and with full Android TV playback. All this has been achieved using state-of-the-art technology, obtaining a very high feedback speed from the app’, reported Ariel Droyeski, Marketing Director at Bold MSS. ‘In addition, operators can trust the interface. We have made sure that all requirements are met so that users do not find unwanted surprises’, added the executive.

As officially reported by Bold MSS, the new solution ‘is adapted to the latest demands and requirements of subscribers in the cable TV industry’, who will be able to find linear channels, live and VOD content, and the most popular SVOD platforms in the app. Access to these contents can be executed from the same interface thanks to the ‘Home Launcher‘ mode, which can be customized according to each operator’s preferences. 

Some of the features that Bold MSS developed for this new app, whose name has not been reported yet, are its integration with the general Android TV search engine; the preview of channel content, available grid and EPG management; access to catch-up; and the “favorite content” and ‘Mi Lista’ sections, to save content and watching it later.
