The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) has officially announced this last Saturday, May 15th, an agreement with the Mexican conglomerate TV Azteca (Grupo Salinas), through which Azteca Deportes, a division of TV Azteca focused on the producing and broadcasting sporting events, will broadcast the League’s events through the Mexican company’s digital platforms, starting on the 2021 season, scheduled to start in the next few days. Under the terms of the agreement, MLB games will be broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays on both the Azteca Deportes Digital website and app.
According to the terms of the agreement, in total, 380 weekly minutes of the LMB will be broadcast in different linear TV formats of TV Azteca. Broadcasts will include promotional content from the league, information from the 18 clubs and highlights. In addition, games will be broadcast via web and mobile application, play by play of games on social networks and a minisite dedicated to content, statistics and information from the LMB, and others. In addition to weekly games, Azteca Digital will broadcast playoff games and the King’s Series.
