Argentina’s pay TV companies began offering the so-called “Fútbol Pack”, the new premium soccer bundle with the channels to access the matches of the national tournament, which begins in August.
According to La Nación daily, until September 30, the games will remain available free of charge in standard definition. To access the tournament, as well as the programming of TNT Sports and FOX Sports Premium in high definition users will have to pay for the HD premium bundle. According to local media reports, from October the intention is to offer four matches (two on each signal) on basic plans.
Argentina’s largest pay TV operator, Cablevisión, is already offering the new premium bundle on its website for AR $ 300 (USD 17.2). According to Infobae, the “Fútbol Pack” is available to clients of digital and HD platforms as well of multiscreen service Cablevisión Flow.
DirecTV, the second largest operator in terms of subscribers, is also offering the package for the same price, both in SD and HD. When asked by Infobae about the new offer, Telecentro said that “will have news next week”.
