Last Sunday, the Argentine TV broadcaster Telefe – which was acquired by Viacom in 2016 – premiered the new reality show “Despedida de Solteros” (“Bachelor Party”). The show airs from Sunday to Thursday. At the end of each broadcast, MTV offers additional content in “Bachelor Party: MTV After Hours”.
This marks the first participation between Viacom’s pay TV channel and the recently-acquired TV broadcaster, which is now part of the media company’s portfolio.
“Bachelor Party” is a reality show where 12 couples decided to get married should undergo different tests, including living apart for more than 100 days, with minimal contact between them. The reality show airs from Monday to Thursday, and has a ‘gala evening’ every Sunday.
MTV’s TV show airs from Sunday to Thursday at midnights and is hosted by VJ Mikki Lusardi. It shows live what happens in both houses where the participants are living.
Viacom announced the purchase of Telefe in November 2016. The transaction was valued at USD 345 million.
