Apple launches its OTT in more than 100 countries this year

Apple confirmed the launching of its OTT ‘Apple TV +’, which will soon be available in more than 100 countries around the world, in all Apple devices, which will include Macs, Samsung, LG, Sony and Vizio Smart TVs , in addition to Roku and Amazon Fire TV. The company did not give details about the OTT’s prices.

The Apple TV + application will include exclusive series, documentaries and movies developed by Apple. Apple TV + will not have ads, it will be on demand and all the content can be downloaded to watch offline. It will be available in more than 100 countries from the second half of the year. Among the confirmed titles are Amazing Stories; The morning show; See; Little America; Little Voice and Sesame Street, plus two documentaries by Oprah Winfrey, who was present at the event and announced an alliance with Apple to create content.

Apple also announced the new app and Apple TV channels, which will be available from May and will combine content of up to 150 different OTTs. Among the main ones will be HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Epix, Hulu, CBS All Access and Amazon Prime Video. It will be available on iOS devices, Macs and Samsung, Sony, LG and Vizio’s Smart TVs, as well as Roku and Fire TV. The offer includes content by subscription, with the exception of the Netflix catalog, in a single platform.

In addition to the Apple TV+ announcement , the company also expressed it will launch Apple News Plus, a news service that will include content from The Wall Street Journal, the LA Times, The New York Times, TechCrunch and others. A new Apple credit card and the Apple Arcade games subscription service were also announced.
