Amazon has officially confirmed this last Friday, February 5th, that it has launched Fox Sports via OTT through Prime Video Channels, a feature already launched in Mexico and Brazil, which allows Prime Video clients to subscribe to other OTTs offers through Amazon’s SVOD OTT account.
Access to Fox Sports content through Prime Video Channels will be allowed with an additional MX$ 162 (USD 8) monthly subscription, apart from the one needed to access Prime Video’s catalog in Mexico, currently valued at MX$ 99 (USD 5). Some of the main content available on Fox Sports in Mexico includes the Champions League; the MLB (US Baseball League); Liga MX matches (Mexican Professional Football League); and the Super Bowl (NFL Final, the main Professional Football League in the US), which took place this last weekend.
The official launch of Prime Video Channels in Mexico took place at the beginning of October 2019. Later, in September 2020, it was also launched in Brazil. In the Mexican case, Prime Video subscribers can hire different OTTs, such as Starzplay, Noggin, Acorn TV, Paramount+, Pongalo, Love Nature, HBO, TV Azteca, MGM, and others. In all cases, including Fox Sports as well, a seven-day free trial period is included.
