Spanish Group Mediapro has announced at the end of March that its U-Beat platform, focused on e-sports content, has launched a new premium plan. In addition to the OTT, U-Beat also has a linear TV channel, available in Latin America through pay TV operators Sky (in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic); and Totalplay.
‘The launch of U-Beat Premium, which coexists with freemium access, shows a new step forward in the history of U-Beat. We provide added value to the most loyal users, with exclusive content and extra features, while we will continue to premiere the programs that new audiences want to watch, and launch the TV channel in more countries’, reported Marta Ruiz de Gauna, Managing Director at U-Beat .
As reported on U-Beat’s official website, the paid plan with premium content is valued at € 2.99 (USD 3.5), although an annual subscription is also offered, valued at € 19.99 (USD 24), including a launch promo, in which a 40% discount is applied. In both plans, subscribers can access all U-Beat content; exclusive content for premium customers; exclusive esports content; awards; custom playlists and the ability to watch content offline. In addition, both plans do not include advertising in the videos. Coming soon, both packages will also include exclusive meet & greets with content creators. The only payment method available up to now is through the PayPal platform.
Apart from its web version, access to U-Beat is also possible through its app, available for iOS and Android devices.
