Adults over 60 in Mexico consume more than six daily hours of TV

People over 60 in Mexico consume an average time of 6 hours and 59 minutes per day, as confirmed by a study made by the Federal Telecommunications Institute, which evaluated the period between august of 2020 and july of 2021. 

As it was compared, the result surpassed the average TV exposure time from the general population, which is 5 hours and 39 minutes. In addition, it was revealed that the average of older adults who sit down and watch TV shows is about 77,80% from the total number, and that the period time of biggest consume by that population is between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm, where was registered that 46,35% of the group has the device turned on

Other details informed that most of  the older people, who watch tv on a daily basis, do it through broadcast TV, which represent 61,58% from the total of views; and that the main content watched on the signal are soap operas and drama series.
